From February 16 to March 17, 2018, the project space AKKU will become a site of ectoplastic experimentation. The artists Lisa Biedlingmaier, Nathalie Koger, Wolfgang Obermair, and Michl Schmidt—based between Stuttgart and Vienna—will explore the concept of ectoplastic and its potential manifestations within the dynamic field between materialism and spiritualism.
From a sculptural perspective, both accidental and intentional appearances, the manifestation of substance, and its aesthetic presence as a medium are of central interest. The formation of forms, their constellation within specific environments, and their relationships to one another will become the focus of visual experimentation. In this process, both old and new techniques and strategies will be employed and tested.
Object, installation, and performance will serve as tools for these corresponding investigations.
